The assignment

I really wish there was paint bucket in illustrator. I'm having some difficulties with a lot of these tools. It limited me in the end and I had to do these just to finish the assignment. I'm going to keep playing, but is there an easier way to use the paintbrush and fill it in with color without the small white blanks that tend to happen?

  1. aww these are so cool! I love them, plus your duck and cat are so cute i love their big eyes:) It doesnt look like you had issues with the tools. the white blanks may happen if some of your lines have a white fill on them you can select all and then make the fill be nothing (white with red slash)....but if not that then idk...

  2. Your eyeball is awesome! nice colors, and the asymmetrical way you did the iris is beautiful. I wish I had eyelashes like that

  3. It doesn't look like you had difficulty! The human faces and last two designs are really nice! I like the rounded rectangle you used foer the background on the animals.

  6. I really like the profile in the circles. There's a mixture of brushstroke oldness with the circle illustrator newness.

  8. ditto on the paintbucket thing. there's a way to fill with the shape-builder tool, but its kind of a hassle and def not as convenient as the paint bucket. the silhouette piece is nice.

  10. I wish there were a paint bucket tool as well. These are great designs; it looks like you're already getting it down pat. I like the variety of all your designs; each of the first eight seems to be based on a specific theme. The eye, minimalist circles and watercolor bird images are my favorites, but the last two are really cute.

  11. I was having a problems with these cause the paintbrush is nothing like photoshop, and I ended up using mainly shape building and pin.... which took longer than it should.... I even looked up tons of how to on youtube just to figure out how to move the points where to go
